Abstract:Cardiovascular disease is a major threat to human health. Its core pathophysiological features are endothelial dysfunction, which is manifested as decreased vasodilation ability, hemodynamic abnormalities, and accelerated progression of atherosclerosis.Trimetazidine can effectively improve endothelial dysfunction by optimizing energy metabolism, improving hemodynamics, reducing oxidative stress, inhibiting inflammatory response, and regulating angiogenesis, and is widely used in the treatment of a variety of cardiovascular diseases. This article reviews the mechanism of trimetazidine and its latest research progress in improving endothelial dysfunction related to cardiovascular disease,so as to provide new strategies and evidence for better clinical application of trimetazidine.
