Abstract:Serum uric acid is the end product of the metabolism of purine compounds in humans and apes. Some epidemiological studies have shown that elevated serum uric acid is associated with gout attack, cardiovascular disease(including hypertension, coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, atrial fibrillation),metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance,obesity,non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and chronic kidney disease. At the same time,a large number of studies have shown that serum uric acid is closely related to the occurrence and development of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction(HFpEF).Control of serum uric acid can improve the prognosis and survival rate of HFpEF patients.Clarifying the effect and related mechanism of serum uric acid on HFpEF has important clinical value for disease assessment and prognosis.
