Abstract:At present, with the increasing incidence of chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and renal failure, these adverse factors significantly promote the pathological process of coronary artery calcification(CAC).Although the technology of coronary intervention has made significant progress,CAC lesions are still a major challenge in the field of interventional therapy. This article discusses the mechanism of CAC and analyzes the characteristics of intimal calcification and outer membrane calcification. At the same time, the application characteristics of various imaging techniques in CAC imaging are systematically reviewed, including coronary CT angiography, coronary angiography, intravascular ultrasound, optical coherence tomography, etc. In addition, this article describes the application value of non-compliance balloon,ultra-high pressure non-compliance balloon, cutting balloon, rotational atherectomy, and endovascular lithotripsy in the treatment of different CAC lesions. The aim of this study is to provide a scientific and effective reference for interventional radiologists to manage CAC lesions.
