Abstract:The treatment of intracranial infection secondary to systemic lupus erythematosus is difficult and the mortality rate is high. The clinical data of 4 cases of secondary intracranial infection in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus are retrospectively analyzed and the related literature is reviewed. All the 4 patients were female, aged from 16 to 36 years. All patients were diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus and had secondary intracranial infection and cerebrospinal fluid circulation dysfunction, including 3 cases of hydrocephalus and 1 case of refractory intracranial hypertension. It is concluded that long-term cerebrospinal fluid drainage combined with anti-infection comprehensive treatment can greatly improve the prognosis and quality of life of patients with intracranial infection secondary to systemic lupus erythematosus. In order to provide experience and reference for clinical practice.
