Abstract：As a mental disease that seriously endangers people's physical and mental health,the incidence of depression is increasing year by year.As one of the common complications after surgery and anesthesia,postoperative depression has a negative impact on the postoperative rehabilitation process and medical burden of patients.Conventional antidepressants have the problem of delayed efficacy,which cannot achieve rapid remission of severe depression after surgery.In recent years,breakthroughs in the research of ketamine and its related compounds in the field of anti-depression have provided hope for rapid relief of postoperative depressive symptoms.This article systematically summarizes and discusses the research progress of ketamine and its enantiomers in the treatment of postoperative depression.
