Abstract:Metronomic chemotherapy(MCT)is a treatment characterized by low-dose and high-frequency administration, which has the advantages of low toxicity, long duration of drug effect, high compliance, and low cost.It is often used as a salvage measure for patients with advanced hematological malignancies and has certain clinical practicability. In this review,we discuss the mechanisms of MCT,including inhibition of tumor stem cells,anti-angiogenesis and immune stimulation, and summarize the current research results of MCT in multiple myeloma, acute myeloid leukemia and lymphoma. We also elaborate the current status of MCT and point out the shortcomings,so as to provide reference for its clinical application in hematological malignancies. It also provides a reference for the in-depth development of MCT research.
