Abstract:Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a chronic systemic immune disease characterized by synovial inflammation and progressive joint destruction.Disorders of cell metabolism are closely related to the pathology of RA.At the site of inflammation, due to the limitation of energy sources, inflammatory cells adapt to perform their homeostatic functions through metabolism.Metabolic abnormalities in immune cells and stromal cells are considered to be important drivers of chronic inflammation in RA.Metabolites such as lactate play a key role in regulating immune cell function. This article reviews the important role of glycolysis, mitochondrial metabolism, lipid and amino acid metabolism in RA and the current status of metabolic-targeted therapy,in order to provide new ideas for the treatment of RA.
