Research progress on myosin light chain kinase in malignant tumors

Abstract：In recent years,myosin light chain kinase(MLCK)has played a crucial role as an important regulator of the cytoskeleton and cell movement in various types of tumors.MLCK participates in regulating various biological processes,such as cell proliferation,migration,invasion,and apoptosis,through cell signal transduction in tumor development.Given the crucial role of MLCK in tumor development,it has been extensively studied as a potential therapeutic target,with the aim of developing therapeutic strategies to improve treatment efficacy and patient quality of life.This review summarizes the expression patterns,functional mechanisms,and potential clinical application value of MLCK in different types of tumors,and discusses the current status and future directions of MLCK as a potential therapeutic target,providing new ideas and strategies for clinical treatment.
