Abstract:Gouty arthritis is a common crystal-related disease caused by the deposition of sodium urate crystals in articular and non-articular tissues, which can lead to inflammation and joint damage. It is mainly closely related to genetic, environmental and metabolic factors. Its occurrence is usually significantly associated with ele-vated serum uric acid levels. In the presence of persistent hyperuricemia, chronic deposition of sodium urate crys-tals in the joint and periarticular space and subsequent activation of the innate immune system are central mecha-nisms in the development of gouty arthritis.Among them, the exact molecular mechanism of NOD-like receptor family protein 3 inflammasome and some cytokines in the activation of gouty arthritis has not been elucidated. The treat-ment of recurrent gouty arthritis leading to the formation of tophus is limited. Therefore,it is particularly important to find effective drug targets for the treatment of goutv arthritis.
