Research progress of gastroesophageal reflux disease after proximal gastrectomy

Abstract:Gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)is a common digestive system disease with complex etiology and recurrent episodes,which has brought great trouble to clinicians.As a surgical method for the treat-ment of gastric cancer and other diseases,proximal gastrectomy destroys the physiological structure of the cardia and its surrounding area,which may lead to the occurrence of acid reflux and reflux phenomenon in the residual stomach after surgery,which may cause GERD.This situation seriously affects the quality of life of patients.This article mainly summarizes the pathogenesis,treatment methods and the progress of anti-reflux surgery for GERD after proximal gastrectomy,aiming to provide a reference for the selection of treatment options for GERD after proximal gastrectomy.
