Current status of clinical treatment and nutritional intervention in maintenance hemodialysis patients with sarcopenia

Abstract：Sarcopenia is a common complication in maintenance hemodialysis(MHD)patients,which has a serious adverse impact on patients'mobility and quality of life,and is closely related to the poor prognosis of MHD patients.Therefore,early diagnosis and intervention of sarcopenia are of great clinical significance for MHD patients.MHD patients with high risk factors of sarcopenia should pay attention to the control of risk factors,reduce the exposure level,and prevent the occurrence or development of the disease.At present,the main treatment and intervention strategies for sarcopenia include drug therapy,exercise and nutritional intervention.In order to increase the awareness and improve the prevention and treatment level of MHD sarcopenia,this article reviews the prevalence,risk factors,treatment and intervention status of MHD sarcopenia.
