Novel coronavirus related nervous system injury and its possible mechanism

Abstract：Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 has caused a global pandemic of novel corona-virus infection.Although the main manifestation of viral infection is respiratory disease,an increasing number of studies have shown that novel coronavirus can cause a variety of nervous system damage,such as encephalitis,encephalopathy,Guillain-Barre syndrome and"long novel coronavirus infection"syndrome.The exact mechanism of neurological complications caused by the novel coronavirus is still unclear.This article reviews the clinical manifestations and possible pathological mechanisms of nervous system injury caused by novel coronavirus infec-tion,which is helpful to identify neurological symptoms and prevent critical illness in advance.
