Abstract:Unruptured intracranial aneurysm is a buried time bomb in patients who often have concomitant hypertension. In addition to the pro-rupture risk factors confirmed by most studies, complex hemodynamics, inflammatory factors and uncontrolled hypertension also increase the risk of rupture. As a commonly used antihy-pertensive drug in clinic, calcium channel blockers have been found to play a protective role in the process of rupture, but some studies have found different or even contradictory results. This article reviews the risk factors of aneurysm rupture, the effect of calcium channel blockers on aneurysm rupture, and the dual effects of calcium channel blockers.
