Research progress on autophagy in multiple myeloma

Abstract：Multiple myeloma(MM)is a heterogeneous disease of plasma cells.Autophagy is a biological process of eukaryotic cells to maintain the homeostasis of the internal environment.It has a dual role in the occurrence and development of MM,which can promote or inhibit the development of tumor.This article reviews autophagy and its regulatory mechanism,the role of autophagy in MM,and the treatment strategies of autophagy-related MM,in order to provide new ideas for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of MM.
