Abstract:Objective To observe the effectiveness and safety of ultrasound-guided percutaneous injection of pingyangmycin in the sclerotherapy of hepatic hemangioma. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 114 patients who underwent ultrasound-guided pingyangmycin injection sclerotherapy for liver hemangioma at Beijing Friendship Hospital,Capital Medical University from January 2015 to December 2022.The technical success rate, possible postoperative complications, blood routine, liver function, and coagulation function indicators were observed;follow up was conducted at 3,6,and 12 months after surgery, and the patient's symptom relief was evaluated using the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score. At the same time, the maximum diameter and volume changes of the largest section of the hemangioma were observed. Results Totally 114 patients completed follow-up,with a technical success rate of 100%.No serious complications occurred in all patients, and blood routine, liver function, and coagulation function indicators were within normal ranges before and after surgery. At 3,6,and 12 months after surgery, the patient's symptom severity VAS score, maximum diameter of hepatic hemangioma, and volume of hepatic hemangioma were all lower/smaller than those before surgery[(3.6±1.8),(2.6±2.0),(2.3±1.9)vs(7.6±1.2);(5.9±2.3),(5.1±1.8),(4.3±1.7)cm vs(7.9±3.0)cm;44.9(20.9,102.4),29.1(11.4,62.8),18.0(6.3,41.9)cm3 vs 116.5(61.4,264.8)cm3](all P<0.001).Conclusion Ultrasound-guided percutaneous injection of pingyangmycin for sclerotherapy of hepatic hemangioma is a safe and effective method.
