Abstract:Objective To investigate the changes and diagnostic value of plasma fibrinogen and serum total bilirubin in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Methods A total of 107 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangsu University from January 2016 to July 2018 were enrolled, including 75 patients with AECOPD(observation group) and 32 patients at stable stage(control group).Levels of plasma fibrinogen and serum total bilirubin were detected and their separate and joint diagnostic values for AECOPD were analyzed. Results Plasma fibrinogen level in 24 h after admission in the observation group was significantly higher and serum total bilirubin level was lower than those in the control group [(4.6 ± 1.3) g/L vs (3.0 ± 0.5) g/L,(7.3 ± 2.8)μ mol/L vs (11.5 ± 3.9) μmol/L] (both P<0.001).Area under curve of combined detection with fibrinogen and total bilirubin in diagnosing AECOPD was greater than that of individual detection (0.951 vs 0.890,0.821).Conclusions Plasma fibrinogen and serum total bilirubin are of great significance in the diagnosis of AECOPD.Combined detection indicates higher diagnostic value.
