Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of PDCA model on emotional status and self-efficacy in middle-aged and old lung cancer patients treated with platinum-based chemotherapy and olanzapine. Methods Eighty patients over 55 years old with lung cancer who were treated with platinum-based chemotherapy plus olanzapine in Zhejiang Cancer Hospital from January 2016 to June 2018 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received conventional nursing;the observation group received multi-link PDCA intervention(Plan-Do-Check-Act) on the basis of conventional treatment.Anxiety and depression,self-efficacy,complications and satisfaction of patients were analyzed. Results After intervention, scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale and Self-rating Depression Scale in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group[(51 ±3) vs (59 ±4),(52 ±3) vs (59 ±4)];score of General Self-Efficacy Scale in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group [(37 ± 4) vs (27 ± 4)];incidence of complications in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group[7.5% (3/40) vs 32.5% (11/40)];satisfaction score of patients in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group[(97.6 ±4.1) vs (89.5 ± 3.2)] (all P < 0.05).Conclusion PDCA model-based nursing intervention during platinum-based chemotherapy plus olanzapine for lung cancer can relive the symptoms of depression and anxiety and improve the self-efficacy of patients.
