Co-word clustering analysis on hotspots of cardiovascular and psychiatric diseases in recent five years

Abstract：Objective To search SCI papers related to cardiovascular diseases and psychiatric diseases in recent five years,and to explore current hotspots and growing trends in this field.Methods SCI literatures of psychiatric and cardiovascular diseases were retrieved from Web of ScienceTM database.Keyword frequency was counted using Bibliographic Item Co-occurrence Matrix Builder (Bicomb) to construct the co-word matrix.The cluster analysis was carried out using SPSS 23.0 software,and the hotspots were analyzed according to the tree diagram.Results A total of 5 559 valid papers and 5 733 effective keywords were selected;22 high-frequency key words were intercepted.The clustering dendrogram showed that the research hotspots were divided into 5 major categories:cardiovascular inflammation and biomarkers related to mental disorders such as anxiety and depression;epidemiology and risk factors of cardiovascular comorbidities;correlation among schizophrenia,bipolar disorders and metabolic disorders such as obesity;changes in cognitive function with aging and dementia;stress-related physiological indices and the effects on cardiovascular events.Conclusion In recent five years,researches of psychiatric and cardiovascular diseases are focused on the following aspects:cardiovascular inflammation and biomarkers related to mental disorders such as anxiety and depression;epidemiology and risk factors of cardiovascular disease comorbidities;correlation among schizophrenia,bipolar disorders and metabolic disorders such as obesity;changes in cognitive function with aging and dementia;stress-related physiological indices and the effects on cardiovascular events.
