Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of terbutaline combined with beclomethasone dipropionate inhalation on acute attack of asthma. Methods A total of 180 patients with acute exacerbation of asthma who were admitted from September 2014 to June 2016 at Fuzhou General Hospital of Nanjing Military Command of People's Liberation Army were randomly divided into group A,B,C,with 60 cases in each group. The group A was treated by terbutaline inhalation;the group B was treated by beclomethasone dipropionate inhalation;the group C was treated by terbutaline combined with beclomethasone dipropionate inhalation.Clinical efficiency, disappear time of symptoms and signs, hospital stay time and adverse reaction rate were analyzed. Results The total effective rate in group C was significantly higher than that in group A and B[93.3% (56/60) vs 80.0% (48/60),76.7% (46/60)] (P < 0.05);the effective rate showed no significant difference between group A and B (P >0.05).After treatment, dyspnea disappear time, cough disappear time, pulmonary sign disappear time and hospital stay time in group C were significantly shorter than those in group A and B (P < 0.05).The peak expiratory flow after treatment in group C was significandy higher than that in group A and B[(235 ± 25)% vs (219 ±20)%,(221 ±21)%](P<0.05).Conclusion Terbutaline combined with beclomethasone dipropionate inhalation is safe and effective in treatment of acute asthma attack.
