Abstract:Objective To analyze the correlation between severity of obstructive sleep apnea(OSA) and coronary artery lesions in patients with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD).Methods A total of 140 patients with CHD were enrolled from May 2016 to August 2016 in Emergency and Critical Care Center of Beijing Anzhen Hospital,Capital Medical University. All patients received coronary angiography and polysomnography, and they were divided into non/mild OSA group[59 cases, apnea hypopnea index (AHI) ≤ 15 times/h]and moderate/severe OSA group(81 cases,AHI > 15 times/h).Coronary lesions were analyzed by visual observation, the SYNTAX score and quantitative coronary angiography. Results Ratio of multivessel lesions in moderate/severe OSA group was significantly higher than that in non/mild OSA group [80.2% (65/81) vs 59.3% (35/59)](P <0.01).The SYNTAX score in moderate/severe OSA group was significantly higher than that in non/mild OSA group [(21 ± 10) points vs (1 7 ± 12) points] (P < 0.05).Conclusion Compared with patients without OSA or with mild OSA,coronary artery disease in patients with moderate to severe OSA is more complex and widely distributed.
