Abstract：Objective To explore the advantage of individualized pharmaceutical care interfered by clinical pharmacist in diabetic patient with furuncle and carbuncle of neck infection.Methods One case of diabetes complicated with furuncle and carbuncle of neck infected by nethicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus was treated with individualized pharmaceutical care.On the basis of conprehensive treatments,pharmacists evaluated the initial medication regimen and suggested adjustments according to clinical features of the case.Results Clinical pharmacists provided assistance to clinicians in effective and rational treatments for diabetes with furuncle and carbuncle of neck infection.Infection in the patient was under control;fasting and postprandial blood glucose reached the standards.Conclusion Clinical pharmacists make rational drug use suggestions in clinical practice of individualized pharmaceutical care.
