Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of three-stage neurological rehabilitation on hemiplegic patients with foot-drop.Methods A total of 40 cases of hemiplegia with foot-drop from October 2009 to October 2016 in Shandong Tai'an Disabled Soldier's Hospital were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 20 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional rehabilitation therapy for 12 weeks. The observation group was treated with three-stage neurological training rehabilitation therapy (neural potential development ± motor program reconstruction ± practical training) for 12 weeks.Lower limb motor function score(Fugl-Meyer,FMA score),foot dorsiflexion ankle active range of motion (AROM),the motion program signal of the anterior tibial muscle(surface EMG signal intensity,sEMG) were assessed before and after treatment. Results There were no significant differences of FMA score,AROM and sEMG between groups before treatment (P >0.05).FMA score,AROM and sEMG in observation group after treatment were significantly higher than those in control group[(26.6±3.1)pointsvs (18.4±2.7)points,(12.4±1.1) ° vs (9.6±1.4)°,(133± 40) μV vs (92 ± 37) μV] (P < 0.05).Conclusion The three-stage neurological training rehabilitation therapy is effective in treating hemiplegia foot-drop with neurological reconstruction method that accords with natural central nervous system function.
