Abstract:Objective To analyze the relevance between renal dysfunction and hyperuricemia in patients with urine protein negative type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods Totally 154 cases of type 2 diabetes(urine protein negative) from January 2014 to December 2015 in Beijing Anzhen Hospital,Capital Medical University were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into hyperuricemia group and normal uric acid group, with 77 cases in each group.Levels of serum uric acid, blood lipid, body mass index and renal function indexes were determined. The correlation between serum uric acid level and renal function decline was analyzed. Results Levels of serum uric acid, total cholesterol, triacylglycerol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol and body mass index in hyperuricemia group were significantly higher and high density lipoprotein cholesterol Was significantly lower than those in normal uric acid group[(511 ±54) μmol/L vs (306 ± 86) μmol/L,(5.28 ±0.27) mmol/L vs (4.17 ±0.36)mmol/L,(3.2 ±0.5)mmol/L vs (2.2 ±0.5)mmol/L,(3.47 ±0.26) mmol/L vs (2.43 ±0.18)mmol/L,(28.8 ±0.6)kg/m2 vs (25.9 ±0.9)kg/m2,(0.91 ±0.11)mmol/L vs (1.12±0.19)mmol/L] (P <0.05).Levels of urea nitrogen, creatinine and the ratio of microalbuminuria/creatinine in hyperuricemia group were significantly higher than those in normal uric acid group [(6.8 ± 0.5) mmol/L vs (5.4 ± 0.4) mmol/L.,(94 ± 5) μmol/L vs (72 ± 5) μmol/L,(6.8 ± 0.9) mg/mmol vs (2.5 ± 0.4) mg/mmol] (P < 0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that serum uric acid level was a risk factor of renal function decline(odds ratio =4.334,95% confidence interval:1.422-13.211,P =0.004).Conclusion Hyperuricemia is a risk factor of renal dysfunction decline in patients with urine protein negative type 2 diabetes mellitus.
