Relevance among levels of interleukin-6 receptor, cystatin C, homoeysteine and severity of coronary artery disease

Abstract：Objective To analyze correlations among levels of interleukin-6 receptor(IL-6R),cystatin C (Cys C),homocysteine (Hcy) and the severity of coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods Totally 245 patients with undiagnosed CHD were consecutively enrolled from August 2015 to August 2016 were enrolled in the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University.According to clinical manifestations and results of coronary angiography,the patients were divided into acute myocardial infarction (AMI) group (n =90),unstable angina (UA) group (n =83) and control group(n =72).Serum levels of IL-6R,Cys C and Hcy were tested and the severity of coronary disease was evaluated by Gensini score.Correlations among IL-6R,Cys C,Hcy and Gensini score were analyzed.Results Serum levels of IL-6R,Cys C and Hcy had significant differences among 3 groups (P ＜ 0.05);IL-6R,Cys C and Hcy in AMI group were significantly higher than those in UA group and control group (P ＜ 0.05);IL-6R,Cys C and Hcy in UA group were significantly higher than those in control group(P ＜0.05).There was a positive correlation between Gensini score and IL-6R in AMI group and UA group(r =0.380,P =0.018).There was no significant correlation between Gensini score and cystatin C,Hcy levels (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion Serum levels of IL-6R,Cys C and Hcy are correlated with the severity of CHD.
