Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of cefazolin sodium pentahydrate combined with ambroxol hydrochloride in treatment of community-acquired pneumonia in children. Methods A total of 85 children with community-acquired pneumonia from January 2014 to May 2016 in the Ninth People's Hospital of Shenyang were randomly divided into observation group(42 cases) and control group(43 cases). The control group had cefazolin sodium pentahydrate (50 mg/kg,2 times/d,intravenous infusion);the observation group had cefazolin sodium pentahydrate and ambroxol hydrochloride (30 mg/time,1 time/d,intravenous infusion). After 7 d of treatment, therapeutic effect,C-reactive protein (CRP) level,interleukin-6 (IL-6) level and adverse reactions were analyzed. Results Symptom scores in 2 groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment;the symptom score in observation group after treatment was significantly lower than that in control group[(1.6 ± 1.1) scores vs (4.3 ± 1.6) scores] (P < 0.05).The total effective rate in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group [95.2% (40/42) vs 74.4% (32/43)] (P < 0.05);the rank of therapeutic effect in observation group was better than that in control group(P =0.004).Levels of CRP and IL-6 in observation group after treatment were significantly lower than those in control group [(2.3 ± 0.8) g/L vs (9.0 ± 0.6) g/L,(2.0 ± 0.8) ng/L vs (2.4 ± 0.8) ng/L] (P < 0.05).Incidences of adverse reactions in observation group and control group were 7.1% (3/42) and 11.6% (5/43);there was no significant difference between groups(P =0.479).Conclusion Cefazolin sodium pentahydrate combined with ambroxol hydrochloride is effective in treating children with community-acquired pneumonia.
