Abstract:Objective To analyze epidemiological characteristics of acute myocardial infarction(AMI) in young patients. Methods Totally 1 032 young patients with AMI were retrospectively enrolled in Beijing Anzhen Hospital,Capital Medical University in 2011,2013,2015.Age,sex,smoking,hypertension,diabetes,dyslipidemia,non-ST segment elevation acute myocardial infarction (NSTEMI),single vessel lesion of coronary artery, percutaneous coronary intervention, coronary artery bypass grafting and registered residence of AMI patients were recorded.Characteristics of coronary artery lesion, risk factors and geographical distribution were analyzed. Results The number of young patients with AMI increased;male patients in 2011,2013,2015 were 96.3% (260/270),93.7% (299/319),97.1% (430/443),respectively.The proportion of NSTEMI increased in 2011,2013,2015[10.0% (27/270),17.9% (57/319),30.5% (135/443)];there were significant differences in 3 years(P <0.05).The proportion of single coronary artery lesion in 2013,2015 was significantly lower than that in 2011 [47.6% (152/319),47.9% (212/443) vs 57.8% (156/270)] (P < 0.05).The proportion of dyslipidemia in 2015 was significantly lower than that in 2011 and 2013 [46.0% (204/443) vs 29.3% (79/270),36.1% (115/319)] (P < 0.05).Proportions of hypertension, type 2 diabetes metillius and smoking had no significant differences in 3 years (P > 0.05).The proportion of young AMI patients registered in Beijing decreased, but it was still the major proportion;the proportion of patients registered in Beijing in 2015 was significantly lower than that in 2011 [33.4% (148/443) vs 43.7 % (118/270)] (P < 0.05).Conclusion The number of young patients with AMI increases;male patients and patients registered in Beijing account for the major proportion;the proportion of patients with single coronary lesion decreased;the proportion of patients with dyslipidemia increases.
