Application value of quality control circle in irritable bowel syndrome patients with nutritional support in emergency

Abstract：Objective To analyze the application value of quality control circle(QCC) nursing intervention in irritable bowel syndrome patients with nutritional support in emergency.Methods Totally 160 cases of irritable bowel syndrome from January 2013 to June 2015 in Emergency Department of Gastroenterology,Dongfeng Hospital Affiliated to Hubei University of Medicine were analyzed;90 patients admitted from January 2013 to June 2014 were enrolled as control group;70 patients admitted from July 2014 to June 2015 were enrolled as observation group.All patients had enteral nutrition support therapy;the control group was treated with routine nursing and the observation group was treated with nursing intervention based on QCC care measures;both nursing periods were 14 d.Prealbumin and albumin levels,gastrointestinal symptom score,anxiety score,depression score and complications before and after treatment were analyzed.Results After 14 d of nursing intervention,prealbumin and albumin levels were significantly higher than those before intervention in both groups[control group:(172 ±61)mg/L vs (155 ±42)mg/L,(36 ± 6)g/L vs(31 ± 7)g/L;observation group:(194 ±26) mg/L vs (155 ±52) mg/L,(42 ± 6) g/L vs (31 ± 5) g/L] (P ＜ 0.05);prealbumin and albumin levels in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group (P ＜ 0.05).After intervention,gastrointestinal symptom scores,anxiety scores and depression scores were significantly lower than those before intervention in both groups[control group:(8.1 ± 1.6)scores vs (12.7 ±2.1) scores,(42 ±5)scores vs (48 ±5)scores,(41 ±5)scores vs (46 ±6) scores;observation group:(4.6 ± 1.0) scores vs (13.0 ± 1.9) scores,(35 ± 5) scores vs (48 ± 4) scores,(37 ±5) scores vs (46 ± 6) scores] (P ＜ 0.05);gastrointestinal symptom score,anxiety score and depression score in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group(P ＜ 0.05).The incidence of complications in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group [14.3％ (10/70) vs 32.2％ (29/90)] (P ＜0.05).Conclusion The application of QCC care measures in emergency irritable bowel syndrome patients with nutritional support can effectively improve nutritional status,relieve psychological disorder and gastrointestinal symptoms.
