Abstract:Objective To investigate the aspirin resistance (AR) in different traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome types of cerebral infarction. Methods Totally 198 patients with cerebral infarction from January 2012 to December 2014 were enrolled.According to the platelet inhibition rate detected by thromboelastography arachidonic acid induced pathways, the patients were divided into AR (platelet inhibition rate < 20%) + aspirin semi-resistance (ASR,platelet inhibition rate 20%-50%) group (60 cases) and aspirin sensitive (AS) group (platelet inhibition rate > 50%,138 cases). The platelet count (PLT) and related laboratory indexes were compared between groups. The TCM syndrome types of the patients included qi deficiency and blood stasis, liver yang hyperactivity and wind-phlegm coused collateral obstruction. The rate of AR + ARS was compared among different TCM syndrome types. Results The levels of PLT in AR + ASR group were significantly higher than that in AS group [(208 ±42) × 109/L vs (187 ±40) × 109/L] (P <0.05),and the other laboratory indexes were not significantly different between groups (P > 0.05).There were 126 cases of qi deficiency and blood stasis, with AR + ASR rate of 19.0% (24/126);there were 29 cases of liver yang hyperactivity, with AR + ASR rate of 48.3% (14/29);there were 43 cases of wind-phlegm caused collateral obstruction, with AR + ASR rate of 51.2% (22/43).The rate of AR + ASR in patients of qi deficiency and blood stasis was significantly lower than that in patients of liver yang hyperactivity and patients of wind-phlegm caused collateral obstruction (P < 0.05),while was not significantly different between patients of liver yang hyperactivity and patients of wind-phlegm caused collateral obstruction (P > 0.05).Conclusion In patients with cerebral infarction, the PLT is significantly higher in those with AR or ASR than that in those with AS;the rate of AR or ASR is high in patients of liver yang hyperactivity and wind-phlegm caused collateral obstruction.
