Clinical effect of thoracic endovascular aortic repair on complicated type B aortic intramural hematoma
Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of thoracic endovascular aortic repair(TEVAR) on complicated type B aortic intramural hematoma(IMH).Methods Totally 69 cases of complicated type B IMH from February 2011 and June 2015 were enrolled. All patients had TEVAR operations.Operation success rate and postoperative complications were analyzed. Results The success rate of operation was 97.1% (67/69).Perioperative complications occurred in 3 cases, including 1 case of paraplegia and 2 cases of stent graft-induced new entry which progressed to type A aortic dissection. The follow-up lasted for (20 ± 14) months;stent graftinduced type A aortic dissection occurred in 2 patients at 1 month and 1 year after operation;type Ⅰ stent-induced endoleak was found in 1 case at 2 years. Conclusion TEVAR treating complicated type B IMH is effective but with perioperative and postoperative complications.
