Magnetic resonance imaging in diagnosing diabetic myocardial infarction: case report and literature review

Abstract:Objective To discuses the pathogenesis,magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) manifestations and clinical diagnosis of diabetic muscle infarction (DMI).Method Clinical data of one patient diagnosed as DMI by MRI and color Doppler ultrasound was retrospectively analyzed combined with relative literature.Result MRI displayed that the involved muscle in the low limb was thickened and swelling,with abnormal signal;the intermuscular septa was fuzzy and disappeared,with edema of subcutaneous tissue.Consistent with previous literature reports.Conclusion DMI can diagnosed in diabetic patients with sudden limb muscle pain,showing thickened and swelling muscle with abnormal signal,edema and fuzzy intermuscular septa,and subfascial effusion in MRI.
