Observation of Jinlida granules treating type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical effect of Jinlida granules in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods Totally 120 patients of type 2 diabetes mellitus from January 2012 to December 2014 in the First Hospital of Harbin were randomly divided into observation group(64 cases)and control group(56 cases).All patients received routine treatment,the observation group was added Jinlida granules 1 packet/time,3 times/d after meals.Both groups were treated for 24 weeks.The fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2 h postprandial glucose(2 h-PG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),triacylglycerol (TG),total cholesterol (TC),microalbuminuria (MAU),fasting insulin (FINS),pancreatic β cell function index(HOMA-β) and insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR) before and after treatment were analyzed.Results After treatment,FPG,2h-PG,HbA1c in 2 groups were all significantly lower than those before treatment(P ＜0.01).In observation group after treatment,FINS,HOMA-β were significantly higher and TG,TC,MAU,HOMA-IR were significantly lower than those before treatment and those in control group after treatment[(12±3)m IU/L vs(6±3),(7 ±4)mIU/L;(5.8 ±2.0)vs(3.6 ± 1.0),(4.1 ±1.3);(1.2 ±1.1)mmol/L vs(4.9 ±2.6),(3.0 ± 1.2) mmol/L;(3.5 ± 3.4) mmol/L vs(6.8 ±3.2),(5.8 ± 2.5) mmol/L;(4.6 ± 1.5)mg/mmol vs(26.9 ±2.5),(26.6 ± 2.9) mg/mmol;(3.8 ±0.5) vs(8.8 ±0.5),(8.0 ±0.4)] (P ＜0.01 or P ＜ 0.05).There were no serious adverse reactions in both groups during treatment.Conclusions Jinlida granules can effectively protect pancreatic 3 cell function in patients with type 2 diabetes,reduce the insulin resisance,alleviate the kidney disease and decrease the blood lipid.Jinlida is an ideal Chinese patent medicine for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
