Abstract:Objective To investigate time and seasonal pattern of cerebral vascular disease onset in Tangshan City. Methods Totally 8248 patients with cerebral vascular disease from January 2007 to March 2011 were collected, including 6428 cases of cerebral infarction,1560 cases of cerebral hemorrhage and 260 cases of subarachnoid hemorrhage. The time and seasonal pattern of cerebravascular disease onset were analyzed by a round profile. Results The constituent ratio of patients in autumn was the highest for cerebral infarction and subarachnoid hemorrhage [58.8% (3782/6428) and 45.0% (117/260)],the constituent ratio of patients in winter was the highest for cerebral hemorrhage [31.5% (491/1560)] (all P <0.05).For cerebral infarction, the average angle was in October in both males and females, and the average angle was not significantly different between genders (287.78 ° vs 293.93 °,P > 0.05);for cerebral hemorrhage, the average angle was in February in males and in January in females, and the average angle was significantly different between genders (38.69° vs 5.64°,P < 0.05);for subarachnoid hemorrhage, the average angle was in September in males and in October in females (P < 0.05),and and the average angle was significantly different between genders (240.46° vs 293.47°,P <0.05).Conclusion The onset of cerebravascular disease has seasonal pattern, showing high occurrences of cerebral infarction and subarachnoid hemorrhage in autumn and high occurrences of cerebral hemorrhage in winter.
