Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) with coronary no-reflow phenomenon and severity of coronary artery disease(CAD) in patients with acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI).Methods Totally 129 STEMI patients after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI)from January 2006 to January 2015 in Beijing Anzhen Hospital,Capital Medical University and Hanting People's Hospital of Weifang were retrospectively analyzed. All Patients were divided into 2 groups by Thrombolysis In Myocardial Infarction(TIMI) flow grade after PPCI:no-reflow group (57 cases,TIMI ≤ grade 2) and control group(72 cases,TIMI =grade 3).Serum levels of IGF-1 were measured. The severity of CAD was evaluated by Gensini score and Syntax score.Serum levels of IGF-1 in 2 groups and correlations among IGF-1 level,Gensini and Syntax scores were analyzed. Results Serum levels of IGF-1 had no significant difference between no-reflow group and control group [(118 ± 50) μg/L vs (133 ± 47)μg/L] (P =0.154).Gensini and Syntax scores in no-reflow group were significantly higher than those in control group [(69 ± 23)scores vs (49 ± 26)scores,(26 ±11)scores vs (18 ± 8)scores] (P < 0.05).There were no correlations among Gensini score,Syntax score and IGF-1 level(r =-0.082,0.501,-0.202,P =0.142).Conclusion There were no correlations between IGF-1 with coronary no-reflow phenomenon and severity of CAD.
