Abstract:Objective To explore the value of serum tumor markers in assessment of effect and prognosis in non small cell lung cancer after chemoradiotherapy. Methods Totally 60 cases of non small cell lung cancer patients from January 2013 to January 2015 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the recent effect of chemoradiotherapy, the patients were divided into control group (invalid,24 cases) and observation group (effective,36 cases). The levels of serum tumor markers before and after treatment, including carcino-embryonic antigen, serum tumor cytokeratin 19 fragment (CYFAR21-1),squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC) and carbohydrate antigen-125 (CA125),were detected and compared between groups. Results The levels of CYFAR21-1,SCC and CA125 in observation group were significantly lower than those before treatment in control group [(23±5) μg/L vs (33±5) μg/L,(12±4) μg/L vs (19±3) μg/L,(11.8±3.2) μg/L vs (17.9± 2.8) μg/L,(40 ±5) kU/L vs (47 ±5) kU/L];they were significantly higher than those before treatment in control group [(52 ± 6) μg/L vs (48 ± 5) μg/L,(48 ± 12) μg/L vs (30 ± 11) μg/L,(37.0 ± 3.5) μg/L vs (27.0 ± 8.7) μg/L,(87 ± 8) kU/L vs (68 ± 7) kU/L];they were significantly lower in observation group than those in control group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Serum tumor markers has important clinical value in assessment of effect and prognosis in non small cell lung cancer after chemoradiotherapy.
