Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of felodipine and irbesartan combined with Tianma Gouteng decoction in treating primary hypertension. Methods Totally 100 patients with primary hypertension from May 2014 to May 2015 were randomly divided into control group and observation group,50 cases in each group.Felodipine sustained-release tablets (5 mg,1 time/d) and irbesartan tablets (0.15 g,1 time/d) were orally administrated in both groups;Tianma Gouteng decoction (1 agent/d,decocting 2 times,2 times/d) was additionally given in observation group. The treatment was lasted for 15 d.The blood pressure was measured before and after treatment;the total effective rate and adverse reactions were observed. Results After treatment, the systolic and diastolic blood pressure in both control group [(157 ± 6) mmHg vs (189 ± 8) mmHg,(103 ± 5) mmHg vs (116 ± 7) mmHg] and observation group [(139 ± 6) mmHg vs (190 ± 9) mmHg,(91 ± 4) mmHg vs (119 ± 7) mmHg] were significantly lower than before treatment, the blood pressure were more lower in observation group (P < 0.05).The total effective rate in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group [98.0% (49/50) vs 80.0% (40/50)] (P <0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group [4.0% (2/50) vs 22.0% (11/50)] (P < 0.05).Conclusion Felodipine and irbesartan combined with Tianma Gouteng decoction has good effect in treatment of primary hypertension with low incidence of adverse reactions.
