Effect of Warming Yang and Diuretic in treating chronic heart failure: 1 case report and literature review

Abstract：Objective To discuss the clinical effect of Warming Yang and Diuretic in treating chronic heart failure.Methods The diagnosis and treatment data of one patients with heart failure were retrospectively analyzed and the relative literatures were reviewed.Results One case of 70 year old male patient was admitted to hospital on September 10,2015 and was diagnosed as acute episode of chronic congestive heart failure,dilated cardiomyopathy,New York Heart Association heart function grade Ⅳ,hypertension.On September 12,according to the principle of Warming Yang and Diuretic,modified Zhenwu decoction was given,the clinical symptoms were improved significantly,then the medication was continually taken and the patient was discharged after turning better.The symptoms did not recur during follow-up of 2 months.Conclusion Warming Yang and Diuretic has good effect in treating chronic heart failure of Yang deficiency with water overflows symdrome.
