Effect of Sangjuqing solution soup on phlegm heat type pyretic pulmonary disease

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical effect of Sangjuqing solution soup on phlegm heat type pyretic pulmonary disease.Methods Sixty patients with phlegm heat type pyretic puhnonary disease from January to October 2013 were randomly divided into control group and observation group (30 cases in each group).All patients were given anti-inflammatory and symptomatic treatment;the patients in observation group had Sangjuqing solution soup (30 ml/time,3 times/d).The curative effect,improvement of symptoms and acting time were compared between the two groups after 7 days of treatment.Results The effective rate in observation group was much higher than that in control group [93.3％ (28/30) vs 80.0％ (24/30)] (P ＜0.05).The symptoms were improved after treatment in both groups;the scores of cough and expectoration in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group [(1.3 ± 0.6) scores vs (2.1 ± 0.4) scores,(1.2 ± 0.5) scores vs (2.1 ±0.5) scores] (P ＜ 0.05).The acting time in observation group was significantly shorter than that in control group [(1.5 ± 0.4) d vs (2.2 ± 0.8) d] (P ＜ 0.05).No adverse reactions occurred in both groups.Conclusion Sangjuqing soup combined with western anti-inflammatory medicine is more effective than antiimflammatory drugs on phlegm heat type pyretic pulmonary disease.
