Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of salvianolate injection in treatment of progressive cerebral infarction. Methods One hundred and ten patients with progressive cerebral infarction were randomly divided into conventional treatment group (36 cases) receiving conventional treatment including antiplatelet aggregation, circulation improvement and cerebral protection;edaravone group (36 cases) had edaravone injection in addition to conventional treatment;salvianolate group (38 cases) had salvianolate injection in addition to conventional treatment. Before and 14 days after treatment, the National Institute of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) score,Barthel index (BI) score and high sensitive C reactive protein (hs-CRP) were assessed;the clinical efficacy was evaluated and the adverse reactions were observed. Results After treatment, the NIHSS score,BI score and hs-CRP were (8.2 ± 2.5) scores,(47 ± 8) scores and (6.9 ± 0.9) mg/L in conventional treatment group;they were (5.5 ±2.4) scores,(59 ±9) scores and (4.8 ±0.7) mg/L in edaravone group;they were (5.2 ±2.4) scores,(60±9) scores and (4.7 ± 0.7) mg/L in salvianolate group. The NIHSS score,BI score and hs-CRP in edaravone group and salvianolate group were all significantly different compared with those in conventional treatment group (all P < 0.05).The total effective rate of salvianolate and edaravone group was significantly higher than that of conventional treatment group [69.4% (25/36),71.1% (27/38) vs 41.7% (15/36)].No adverse reactions occurred in all three groups during treatment. Conclusion Salvianolate injection is as safe and effective as edaravone injection treating progressive cerebral infarction.
