Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of Diisopropylamine dichloroacetate on anti-tuberculosis drug-induced liver damage in patients with tuberculosis disease. Methods Totally 150 anti-tuberculosis drug-induced liver damage patients were randomly divided into treatment group (75 patients) and control group (75 patients),control group received conventional licorice acid and glutathione therapy, and treatment group were added with diisopropylamine dichloroacetate liver protective treatment, both groups were treated for 6 weeks. The levels of a lanine aminotransferase(ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase(AST),ultrasound of the liver, hepatic steatosis, hepatic fibrosis and inflammation were assessed before and after treatment. Results After treatment, the total efficiency of the treatment group and the control group were 98.7% (67/75) and 89.3% (74/75),respectively,the total efficiency of treatment group were significantly higher than that of control group (P < 0.05).The serum AST and ALT value were reduced after treatment in both the two groups and in treatment group were significantly lower than in control group after treatment (P < 0.05).The ALT before treatment in the treatment group was (142 ± 17) U/L,after treatment was (31 ± 8) U/L,the AST was (145 ± 22) U/L and (31 ± 8) U/L; the ALT before treatment in control group was (142 ± 18) U/L,after treatment was (41 ± 8) U/L,the AST was (146 ± 19) U/L and (42 ± 7)U/L.After treatment ultrasound showed the liver situation of treatment group was significantly better than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).After treatment, the improvements of the hepatic steatosis, hepatic fibrosis, inflammation in treatment group were significantly higher than those in control group[100.0% (75/75),96.0% (72/75),97.3 % (73/75) vs 80.0% (60/75),77.3% (58/75),74.7% (56/75),P < 0.05].Conclusion Diisopropylamine dichloroacetate in treatment of tuberculosis disease plays a role of liver protection, which can promote the recovery of liver function and liver morphology.
