Antiplatelet effect of preoperative panaxtriol saponins on off-pump coronary bypass grafting
Abstract:Objective To explore the antiplatelet effect of preoperative panaxtriol saponins among patients who underwent off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCAB).Methods A total of 273 patients were divided into intervention group (134 cases) that had panaxtriol saponins for 5-7 days before operation plus conventional treatment; control group had conventional treatment. Results The drainage volume on the first and second day after operation in the two groups had no statistical difference (P =0.646,0.411).The platelet aggregation rate (arachidonic acid, adenosine diphosphate) of the two groups was significantly different[arachidonic acid:(46 ± 8) % vs (58 ± 8) %,adenosine diphosphate:(61 ± 5) % vs (67 ± 5) %,P =0.000].The thoracotomy rate of the two groups had no statistical difference (P =0.577) and the incidence of perioperative myocardial infarction of the two groups had significant differences [0.7% (1/134)vs 5.8%(8/139),P=0.031].Conclusions Preoperative administration of panaxtriol saponins can obviously inhibit the perioperative platelet aggregation and reduce incidence of perioperative myocardial infarction without increasing perioperative drainage in OPCAB.
