Abstract:Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of antiplatelet therapy of ticagrelor in treatment of multivessel acute coronary syndrome patients who received primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Methods Totally 120 patients of acute coronary syndrome with multivessel disease who received PCI were randomly divided into ticagrelor group (n =60,preoperative 180 mg loadin,90 mg after operation, two times per day) and clopidogrel group (n =60,preoperative 600 mg loading,75 mg after operation, once per day).Baseline data, coronary artery disease characteristics, platelet count, adenosine diphosphate induced platelet inhibition rate before and after 5 days of treatment, major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE) and adverse reactions including bleeding complications were observed. Results The differences of baseline data, coronary artery disease characteristics, platelet count before and after 5 days of treatrment between the two groups had no statistical significance (P > 0.05).Adenosine diphosphate induced platelet inhibition rate after 5 days of treatment in ticagrelor group was significantly higher than that in clopidogrel group [(81 ± 10)% vs (76 ± 12)%,P < 0.05].Two groups of patients were followed up for 3 months.Eight MACEs (13.3%) occurred in clopidogrel group; 5 MACEs (8.3%) occurred in ticagrelor group. The incidence of MACE had no statistical differences (P > 0.05).The two groups had no statistically significant differences in adverse reactions (P > 0.05).Conclusions Antiplatelet therapy of ticagrelor treating acute coronary syndrome patients with multivessel disease who received PCI is good and safe.
