Abstract:Objective To observe clinical effects of budesonide suspension for inhalation and aminophylline in treatment of senile bronchial asthma. Methods Eighty cases with bronchial asthma were randomly assigned to control group and experimental group ; each group had 40 cases. The control group was given 2 mg budesonide suspension for inhalation dissolved in 5 ml 0.9% sodium chloride injection saline ; experimental group was given aminophylline 250 mg dissolved in 100 ml normal saline 0.9% sodium chloride injection based on the treatment of the control group. The therapeutic effect was compared between two groups. Results The effective rate in the experimental group (97.5%,39/40) was significantly higher than that in the control group(87.5%,35/40) (P < 0.05).There were two cases in each group had adverse symptoms and the incidence of adverse reactions in two groups was 5.0% (P > 0.05).Conclusion The combined use of budesonide suspension for inhalation and aminophylline in treatment of elderly patients with bronchial asthma has excellent efficacy and low incidence of adverse reactions.
