Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effects of moxifloxacin on acute exlosion chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD) with invasive mechanical ventilation. Methods Sixty patients of AECOPD with invasive mechanical ventilation were randomly divided into two groups; they were treated with moxifloxacin and levofloxacin respectively. The efficacy rates, bacteriums eradication rates and the time detaching from the ventilator were compared. Results The efficacy rates (83.3%,25/30),bacteriums eradication rates (86.7%,26/30),the success rate of detaching from the ventilator (76.7%,23/30) in moxifloxacin group were higher than those in the levofloxacin group [46.7% (14/30),53.3% (16/30),43.3% (13/30)] (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05),the incidence of adverse drug reactions in moxifloxacin group lower than that in the levofloxacin group [3.0% (1/30) vs 23.3 % (7/30)],with statistical significance (P < 0.01).Conclusion In the treatment of AECOPD that need for invasive mechanical ventilation patients, moxifloxacin has good clinical efficacy.
