Abstract:Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of insulin pump for continuous subcutaneous insulin injections and multiple subcutaneous insulin treatment for type 1 diabetes. Methods Twenty patients diagnosed of type 1 diabetic ketoacidosis had strengthening phase of insulin pump subcutaneous infusion therapy (CSII), and 25 cases of type 1 diabetics acidosis had strengthening phase of multiple subcutaneous injections of insulin therapy intensified (MSII) including fasting blood glucose, blood sugar 2 hours after meal, blood sugar to amount to mark time, insulin amount and the incidence of hypoglycemia situation. Results Fasting blood glucose levels in CSII group before and after treatment were (14.3±3), (5.9±0.7) mmol/L; 2 hour postprandial blood glucose were (21.6±3.8), (8.3±0.9) mmol/L. Fasting blood glucose levels in MSII group before and after treatment were (13.1±2.1), (6.0±0.8)mmol/L; 2 hour postprandial blood glucose were (19.8±3),(8.9±1.1) mmol/L. Blood glucose, insulin, total time of hypoglycemia were (6.0±1.5) d, (49.6±14.9) U/d, (0.6±0.2) times in CSII group. There were significant differences between 2 groups (P<0.01 or P<0.05).Conclusion CSII therapy is effective and convenient to control high blood glucose than MSII.
