Taiyuan area normal healthy adult reference range of serum albumin

Abstract：Objective To establish the normal reference range for healthy adult serum albumin (ALB) in taiyuan region.Methods Serum ALB of 1454 healthy adults living in taiyuan region were examined,then the data were analyzed with statistical methods according to different gender and different age.Results ①The normal reference range for healthy adult serum ALB in taiyuan region was (41.47-50.71) g/L,the male was (42.05-51.09) g/L and for the women was (41.00-49.86) g/L.The average was (46.6 ± 2.3) g/L and for the women was (41.00-49.86)g/L,the average was (45.4 ± 2.3) g/L,the gender difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.01).②)The serum ALB level of men (20 ≤ age ＜ 30) was (48.1 ± 1.9)g/L,and the level of women was (46.6 ± 2.2)g/L; The serum ALB level of men (30 ≤ age ＜ 40) was (47.4 ± 2.0) g/L,and the level of women was (45.9 ± 1.9) g/L; The serum ALB level of men (40 ≤ age ＜ 50) was (46.5 ± 2.0) g/L,and the level of women was (45.2 ± 2.0) g/L; The serum ALB level of men (50≤age ＜60) was (45.9 ± 1.7)g/L,and the level of women was(45.2 ±2.2)g/L; The serum ALB level of men (60 ≤ age ＜ 70) was (45.2 ± 2.0) g/L,and the level of women was (45.0 ± 2.2) g/L; The serum ALB levels of men over 70 years old was (44.2 ± 2.2) g/L,and the level of women was (43.1 ± 2.4) g/L.Male serum ALB level gradually was decreased with age growth,and the level between different age difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.01).Female serum ALB level was increased with age declining trend,but was stabilized at 40 to 69 years.In addition to the 69-69 age group,there was significant difference between men and women of every age group,which was that serum ALB in male confluence was higher that in female (P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion Taiyuan area healthy adult serum ALB level is different from the reference range now scheduled,so different serum ALB reference value range should be created based on different regions,different gender and different age groups.
