Observation of curative effect on the combination of lactobacillus complex capsules and levofloxacin hydrochloride dispersible tablets to treat acute bacterial diarrhea

Abstract：Objective To observe the curative effect of lactobacillus complex capsules and levofloxacin hydrochloride dispersible tablets on acute bacterial diarrhea.Methods Totally 120 acute bacterial diarrhea patients were randomly divided into group A,B and C.Group A (50 patients)was treated with the combination of lactobacil1us complex capsules(0.66 g,three times per day,oral)and levofloxacin hydrochloride dispersible tablets(0.1 g,three times per day,oral),while group B (40 patients)was treated with levofloxacin hydrochloride dispersible tablets (0.1 g,three times per day,oral) only and group C(30 patients) was treated with lactobacillus complex capsules (0.66 g,three times per day,oral) only.Curative effect,average time of antidiarrhea and side effect were observed after finishing the treatment course for three days.Results The total effective rate of group A,group B and group C were 92.0％ (46/50),87.5％ (35/40) and 76.7％ (23/30) respectively.A significant difference was shown (P ＜0.05).Average time of antidiarrhea in group A was (39 ± 10) hours,which was shorter than group B(44 ±12)hours and group C(45 ± 10)hours(all P ＜0.05).Side effect were found in group A and group B,but there were no significant difference among them (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion Compound lactobacillus capsule combined with levofloxacin in treatment of acute bacterial diarrhea is superior to the effect of levofloxacin alone or compound capsule of lactic acid bacteria,and can shorten the diarrhea time.
