Abstract:Objective To evaluate the effects of panax notoginseng combination with antiplatelet drugs on major adverse cardiac events of patients undergoing selected percutaneous coronary intervention procedure. Methods All 1200 patients with percutaneous coronary intervention procedure were enrolled.600 of them were randomly assigned to observation group with the combination including Panax notoginseng and dual antiplatelet drugs (aspirin and clopidogrel). The rest 600 cases were entered control group with dual antiplatelet drugs, the adenosine diphosphate (ADP) immediate platelet aggregation index was tested,if platelet aggregation not effective, the panox notoginseny would be given in observation group.Major adverse cardiovascular events were observed and followed for 1 year. Results ①ADP-induced platelet aggregation rate in observation group [(61 ± 22)%] was significantly higher than that in control group [(45 ± 20) %] (P < 0.05).The patients with effective platelet aggregation inhibition in observaton group were more than those in control group [66.0% (396/600) vs 44.3 % (260/600),P < 0.05].②The major adverse cardiac events in observation group [3.3% (20/600)] were lower than those of control group [7.8% (47/600)] (P < 0.05).Conclusion Panax notoginseng combinating with dual antiplatelet drugs decrease the major adverse cardiovascular events and improve the platelet inhibitation effects.
