Clinical effects of anti-helicobacter pylori therapy in migraine patients with helicobacter pylori infection

Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effects of anti-helicobacter pylori (Hp) therapy in migraine patients infected by Hp.Methods All 100 migraine outpatients infected by Hp from our hospital were randomly divided into the experimental group and control group (50 patients each group).Patients in control group were given nimesulide (100 mg,3 times per day) also for 15 days while the experimental group was orally subjected to omeprazole (40 mg,1 time per day),clarithromycin (0.2 g,3 times per day),metronidazole (0.2 g,3 times per day) and aulin (100 mg,3 times per day) for 15 days.After treatment for 4 weeks,the patients were scored for migraine to assess the treatment.Results The clinical cure rate,obvious effective rate,effective rate and inefficient rate in control group were 34% (17/50),30% (15/50),26% (13/50) and 10% (5/50)respectively,with a total effective rate 90% (45/50).While those in experimental group were 70% (35/50),20% (10/50),8% (4/50) and 2% (1/50) respectively,with a total effective rate 98% (49/50).There was significant difference between two groups (P < 0.05).Conclusion Anti-Hp therapy has therapeutic effect on migraine caused by Hp.
