Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between elevated left ventricular end-diastolic pressure (LEVDP) and left atrium diameter(LAD).Methods All 355 inpatients receiving LEVDP and coronary angiography (CAG) measurements were divided into coronary heart disease (CHD) group (141 cases) and non-CHD group(214 cases).CHD group was divided into 3 subgroups:[LEVDP 0-15 mm Hg(1 mm Hg =0.133 kPa),LEVDP 15-30 mm Hg and LEVDP≥30 mm Hg groups].The LAD was compared among 4 groups. Results The LAD levels were (28.0 ± 3.2) mm,(38.0 ± 2.2) mm,(29.1 ± 4.1) mm,(35.6 ± 3.5)mm and (41.4 ± 3.2)mm in non-CHD group,CHD group,LEVDP0-15 mm Hg group,LEVDP 15-30 mm Hg group and LEVDP≥30 mm Hg group; LAD levels in LEVDP 15-30 mm Hg group and LEVDP≥30 mm Hg group were higher than those in nonCHD group and CHD group (P <0.01) ; LAD level in LEVDP≥30 mm Hg group was higher than that in LEVDP 15-30 mm Hg group (P < 0.01).LAD and LEVDP had a positive correlation (r =0.91,P < 0.01).Conclusion LAD of patients with CHD elevates with the increasing of LEVDP.
