Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical feature,MRI,electroencephalography(EEG) and results of CSF of sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. Methods The clinical feature,MRI,EEG and the detection of 14-3-3 protein were retrospectively analyzed. Results Both of two cases expressed the processing mental obstacles, case one was found abnormal mental activities before the processing mental obstacles.24 h-EEG showed typical periodic triphasic wave in both cases. Both cases were found abnormal hyperintense signal in cerebral cortex and basal ganglia on T2-weighted image and diffusion-weighted image.Detection of 14-3-3 protein in cerebrospinal fluid in both cases were positive. Conclusion For prospective patients with processing mental obstacle, abnormal mental activities accompanied by multi-system involvement,MRI,24 h-EEG and detection of 14-3-3 protein is helpful for early diagnosis of sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease in suspected cases.
